Web Dev - Feature Build

Budget: $750 | Est. Hours: ~4h 15m | Accelo Template ID: 229

For medium-sized, clearly scoped web development features. More involved than a Small Task - covers new functionality, feature additions, or notable updates to an existing site. Still ad hoc, not a full website build.

  • Client needs a specific new feature or notable update on an existing site
  • Task is clearly defined and scoped (2-4 hours of dev work expected)
  • Budget is around $750
  • No design mockup, copywriting, or SEO migration needed
  • Task is bigger than a Small Task but does not require a full project template

  • Task is a minor fix or update under 1-2 hours - use Web Dev - Small Task instead
  • Task involves multiple pages, full redesign, or new site build - use a full website template
  • Client scope is vague or likely to grow significantly - flag to Daniel to scope properly
  • Task requires complex third-party integrations, custom APIs, or advanced functionality
  • Feature build is likely to exceed $750 - re-scope and quote separately

  • Invoicing - confirm payment / approval
  • Project Handover - set up Accelo job, assign to developer
  • Admin / Client Communication
  • Feature Build (core dev work - approx 2 hours)
  • Revision 1 (add more if complex task)
  • Approval / Sign-off

  • The key difference from Small Task: this is for a defined FEATURE - something that adds new functionality, not just a minor fix.
  • Scope must be clear before starting. If the client is vague about what they want, flag to Daniel before quoting.
  • Only 1 revision round included. If it becomes more complex, additional time needs re-quoting.
  • If the feature is likely to take more than 4 hours - it needs a proper scope and custom quote. Flag to Daniel.
  • Good for existing clients adding new functionality to their site (e.g. new contact form, gallery, booking widget, popup).
  • Not sure if it fits Small Task or Feature Build? Ask Daniel before quoting.
